This Is A Child Abduction Emergency Received By The Tennessee Bureau Of Investigation An East And Middle Tennessee Amber Alert Has Been Issued At The Request Of The Kentucky State Police And Frankfort Kentucky Police Department. Breanna Woodside Was Taken By Her Non-Custodial Father Miles Woodside On February Twenty Seventh Two Thousand Nine From Frankfort Kentucky. The Vehicle They Were Traveling In Was Recovered In Chattanooga Tennessee At Nine Twenty Eastern Time On March Third Two Thousand Nine. Breanna Is A Two Year Old White Female With Blonde Hair And Hazel Eyes. She Is Three Feet Tall And Weighs Thirty Five Pounds. She Was Last Seen Wearing Purple Sweatpants And Pink Striped Shirt, A Black Jacket With Pink Lining And Blue Shoes. Miles Woodside Is A Thirty Year Old White Male With Red Hair And Blue Eyes. He Is Six Feet And One Inches Tall And Weighs One Hundred And Ninety Pounds. Woodside Is Believed To Have In His Possession A Thirty Eight Revolver And Should Be Considered Armed And Dangerous. Investigators think missing Fla. girl was abducted
By RON WORD Associated Press Writer

SATSUMA, Fla. (AP) -- Investigators were treating the disappearance of a 5-year-old north Florida girl as an abduction and continued searching for the child Thursday. The Putnam County Sheriff's Office said investigators assume Haleigh Cummings was abducted because house-to-house searches of the neighborhood Wednesday found no evidence that she wandered away. Haleigh's father Ronald Cummings also said he didn't believe she had left their home in the middle of the night.
"I know somebody took her. I know for a fact she didn't wander off - she's afraid of the dark," Cummings told NBC's "Today" on Thursday.
Haleigh's mother, Crystal Sheffield, also believes someone took her daughter.
"I just want my baby here. I just want them to bring back my baby," she said, tears running down her cheeks.
Haleigh was last seen Monday night in her father's mobile home in a heavily wooded area north of Satsuma, a community along the St. Johns River about 70 miles north of Orlando. The doublewide mobile home with a screened-in front porch was blocked off with police tape Thursday.
Nearby, a team of about 30 police officers and sheriff's deputies walked shoulder-to-shoulder through the thick underbrush and palmettos. Each carried a machete to clear the brush. At times, they would stop and use a shovel to check when they found fresh dirt.
Haleigh was reported missing when her father returned home from work early Tuesday. His girlfriend told a local newspaper she had been sleeping next to Haleigh when she woke up and discovered the child was gone.
The girlfriend, 17-year-old Misty Croslin, told a 911 dispatcher that a back door that was usually locked had been propped open by a brick.
Sheriff Jeff Hardy told NBC's "Today" that searches by air, ground and water would continue Thursday. Investigators also were interviewing the 44 sex offenders living within 5 miles of Ronald Cummings' home.
John Harrell, spokesman for the northeast region of the Florida Department of Children and Families, said Thursday that his agency "was involved with the family." Harrell would not offer any details, citing state confidentiality laws.
Sheffield's family gathered at the mobile home community where the child disappeared.
Her grandmother, Nancy Griffis, 43, described Haliegh as a "highly intelligent" child who loved to play with makeup, purses, cell phones and "girlie stuff."
An uncle, Andrew Sheffield, believes she is alive, but the mystery of her whereabouts continues.
"It's fishy," he said. "Somebody knows something."
George Anthony, the grandfather of slain Florida toddler Caylee Anthony, met with Haleigh's father Thursday. Anthony said he was there simply to offer moral support. ---

Police: Mom kills 8-year-old son on Christmas

PORT ST. LUCIE - Police have charged a 31-year-old Florida woman with murder after she allegedly smothered her 8-year-old son to death on Christmas.Police said Eryn Allegra, of Port St. Lucie, gave the boy eight Advil pills to put him to sleep, then early Thursday morning suffocated him with a pillow in a hotel room. Allegra then allegedly tried to slit her wrists, but the blade she used was too dull. Police said she dialed 911 and was taken to a local hospital.Allegra told investigators she had been having financial problems since August 2007.

Emergency Hearing

The judge on the Anthony case is calling for an emergency hearing later on today. Nobody knows why as of yet. It is scheduled for 2pm est today. FBI is still sifting thru the grounds near the home.

Defense is requesting these three things (believed to be the reason for the hearing)

1. obtain copies of all photos, video and drawings of crime scene as it was on thursday
2. pieces of remains so they can do their own autopsy
3. appoint forensic expert for the court

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A larger FBI team is expected to return Saturday to the scene where the remains of small child were found near Caylee Marie Anthony’s home. The team will help the Orange County Sheriff’s Office process the crime scene and the area around it.
All evidence is starting to show the remains found in east Orange County were likely Caylee Anthony.
George and Cindy Anthony spent Friday night away from their home for the second night in row.
”They want to be left alone,” said their attorney, Brad Conway. “They want to grieve and go through the process without the publicity that’s been focused on them so long.”
There was no indication where the Anthonys stayed Friday night. Thursday, they had checked into the Ritz-Carlton for the night. They had not been allowed in their home because investigators were searching for more clues into the disappearance of their granddaughter, Caylee. Caylee’s mother, Casey, is in the Orange County jail on charges she killed the 2-year-old child.
Detectives have told Casey’s attorney that the body size and hair color of the remains recovered are similar to Caylee’s and the discovery of the child’s skull with duct tape on the mouth is telling a much more gruesome story.
The residence on Hopespring Drive was cleared Friday morning as a crime scene and George and Cindy Anthony returned there in the afternoon for a short time after spending Thursday night at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel .

Update...

Sheriff believes remains are Caylee's. I know that many/most assumed that they were. This is the first statement from the sheriff involved in the case has made concerning whether the remains are Caylee's or not. The sheriff's office had contacted Casey's defense team and said that preliminary results have shown that the remains are Caylee.

Update on Hearing...

Defense has been denied access to the testing that is going on. Defense is now asking for the evidence to be preserved. Sheriff says there were additional clues found in Casey's home. Police took 7 bags along with pesticides and other things out of the home early this morning.

Emergency Hearing Now...

The hearing is underway. Basically it's Casey Anthony's attorneys asking to have their own experts present at the testing of the remains. Objection of the prosecution to this request is not expected. New evidence says that Caylee's mouth was covered in tape, indicating that the murder was in fact, pre-meditated, and if Casey is found guilty she is eligible for the death penalty afterall. This takes the charge from manslaughter to murder 1. It will take 7 to 10 days for the evidence results to come back. Experts saying no motive is needed to convict Casey Anthony.

Emergency Hearing...

Officials in Orlando are awaiting an emergency hearing regarding DNA and other evidence collected yesterday. Casey's attorney is requesting their own testing by their own experts. The medical examiner is now collecting and comparing samples and will be sending them to the FBI crimelab. We coud get confirmation as early as Tuesday or Wednesday. There was evidence with the remains that caused police to re-search Casey's home.
